The Energy and Sustainable Development Application and Research Center was established as the ninth of the research centers operating at Kadir Has University with the decision of the Higher Education Executive Board dated 18.02.2015. The regulation of the center, known as CESD (Center for Energy and Sustainable Development) for short, entered into force after its publication in the Official Gazette dated 24.03.2015 and published in 29305.
The staffing of CESD started with the appointment of Prof. Dr. Volkan Ş. Ediger as the director of the center with the decision of the Khas Board of Trustees dated 23.03.2015 and numbered 2015/03, the approval of the Advisory Board was obtained with a letter dated 05.05.2015, and the Executive and Advisory Boards took office after the approval of the Rectorate on 13.05.2015.
