The Center for Energy and Sustainable Development was established with the Higher Education Executive Committee decision dated 18.02.2015 as the ninth research center of Kadir Has University. The Regulations of the Center whose abbreviation is CESD (Center for Energy and Sustainable Development) became valid upon their publication in the Official Gazette dated 24.03.2015 and numbered 29305.
Recruitment at the CESD started with the appointment of Prof. Volkan Ediger as the director of the center following the Khas Administrative Board decision dated 23.03.2015 and numbered 2015/03. The Advisory Board’s approval was granted taken with documents dated 05.05.2015, and the Administrative and Advisory Boards began carrying out their responsibilities following approval by the Rectorate on 13.05.2015.
