The project, entitled “European Energy Poverty: Agenda Co-Creation and Knowledge Innovation” was awarded funding by European Union H2020. Various members in 33 European countries, including KHAS, are involved in the project. Prof. Meltem Ucal serves as the KHAS representative in the project, which will continue the years between 2018 and 2021.

Prof. Volkan Ş. Ediger (conference co-chairman), Prof. Mustafa Aydın (honorary president), Prof. Mitat Çelikpala (regulatory board member), Prof. Ahmet Han (regulatory board member), Assoc. Prof. Gökhan Kirkil (regulatory board member) were participated the project at Kadir University. The project was funded by TPAO and Aypet.

Asst. Prof. Emre Çelebi coordinated the project for a duration of 30 months, and the project was successfully completed.

The 5th Multinational “Energy and Value Conference” was organized on 7-9 May 2015. The Conference was organized in collaboration with Kadir Has University, Hacettepe University, VU University, and Center for Energy and Value Issues (CEVI). Prof. Volkan Ediger was the co-chairman of the Conference from Kadir Has University. The project was sponsored by the Central Bank, Energy Market Regulatory Authority, Istanbul Stock Exchange, Takasbank and Gas Distribution Industry and Trade Incorporated Company (IGDAS).

The project, entitled “Raising Awareness of Energy Efficiency for home electrical appliances and Climate Change” was supported by the Grant Programme under Market Transformation of Energy Efficient Appliances in Turkey Project (EVÜDP) implemented by the General Directorate for Renewable Energy (GDRE) of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with the financial assistance of Global Environment Facility (GEF). Prof. Meltem Ucal was the coordinator of the project which completed in 9 months in 2014.

The project, entitled “Development of an Les Methodology to solve Flow-related Problems in the Design of Modern Gas Turbines” was funded TÜBİTAK 3501 Program. Assoc. Prof. Gökhan Kirkil (Researcher) participated in the project from Kadir Has University and it was continued between 2014 and 2017.

The project, entitled “ALERT-Anatolian pLateau climatE and Tectonic hazards” has been awarded funding by EU FP7-PEOPLE-2013-ITN. Five associated partners, including KHAS, are involved in the project coordinated by Universitaet Potsdam. Prof. Volkan Ş. Ediger serves as the KHAS representative in the project, which will be completed in 2017.

Assoc. Prof. Gökhan Kirkil (Coordinator) took place in the project, entitled “Modelling for Short-term Wind Power Forecasting at Wind Farms” which was funded by TUBITAK 3501 Program. The aim of this project was to understand and characterize the rapid changes caused by wind speed in wind power generation. The project started in 2013 and completed in 2016.
